Auckland currently has one of the worst rates of youth employment in the OECD and it is estimated that around 70 percent of our young people need more support to transition from education into employment. At the same time our city’s employers are facing workforce shortages and being forced to look outside Auckland and the country to fill the roles they need to sustain and grow their business. This problem isn’t unique to Auckland.
