Streets for People – Learning from New York

Streets for People – Learning from New York

Transportation Alternatives is a non-profit organisation in New York City which seeks to change New York City's transportation priorities to encourage and increase non-polluting, safer and calmer neighborhood streets, and city-friendly travel that decreases private car use. The organisation is committed to reclaiming New York City’s streets for people and ensuring every New Yorker has safe public spaces in which to walk and bike and access to public transport. Transportation Alternatives Executive Director Paul Steely-White will share his first hand experience in the revitalisation of New York for place, people and active transport and take part in a conversation on key learnings for Auckland.
